A law proposal "aiming to get France out of the trap of drug trafficking" will be debated at the National Assembly starting March 17th. The proposal, carried by Éric Pauget (LR), Vincent Caure (Renaissance) and Roger Vicot (PS), has already been voted almost unanimously by the Senate but several key and controversial measures have been removed. The Minister of Justice and the Minister of the Interior intend to reinstate some of these measures, including algorithmic surveillance of internet traffic.
